Back on the Grind!

It feels so good to get back in the classroom. I'm so excited for Social Studies methods and it's going to be great to teach a history lesson this semester. This is my blog for the semester where I will be posting throughout the semester about Social Studies methods. We got off to a great start by making our name tags. On the back of the name tags Dr. Smirnova had us number the corners of them. Then she had us close our eyes and think of a Social Studies class we have been in in the past. She had us think about what we saw on the walls, what we smell, and basically anything we can remember about this class. Then under number 1 we had to put the name of the teacher's classroom that we imagined. I put down my 6th grade teacher Mrs. Chandler. She was my favorite Social Studies teacher and was the first teacher to peak my interest in History. She was the first teacher to teach me how to take notes, and make outlines of textbooks.
